Plain-language summary. LegalMinds is a software tool that gives you legal information and organizational help. It is not a law firm, it is not your attorney, and nothing here is legal advice. Always verify what the AI tells you and consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before you rely on it.

1. Who we are

LegalMinds ("LegalMinds," "we," "us") provides an AI-assisted platform that helps self-represented ("pro se") civil litigants understand their case, organize documents, track deadlines, and prepare draft filings. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Not legal advice — no attorney-client relationship

LegalMinds is not a law firm and does not practice law. Using LegalMinds does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and LegalMinds or anyone associated with it. The content the platform generates — including AI answers, drafts, deadline calculations, case-odds estimates, and panel reviews — is legal information and drafting assistance only, not legal advice tailored to you. You are responsible for every decision you make and every document you file. Court rules, deadlines, and citations change and vary by jurisdiction; you must independently verify anything before relying on it.

3. AI output can be wrong

The platform uses large language models and automated calculations. These can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated information, including incorrect case citations and miscalculated deadlines. Our Auditor and verification features reduce but do not eliminate this risk. Treat every factual claim, citation, date, and probability as a starting point that you must verify against primary sources and, where the stakes warrant it, a licensed attorney.

4. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the service for anything unlawful; (b) upload content you have no right to share; (c) attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform; (d) use the service to provide legal services to third parties or to hold yourself out as a licensed attorney; or (e) submit AI output to a court without reviewing and verifying it yourself.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you. We do not sell Your Content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

7. Subscriptions, billing & refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Prices and plan features may change with notice.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any outcome will result from its use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalMinds will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed deadlines, or adverse legal outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LegalMinds harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
